Calm in the Chaos and Stories from the Stars

Michael Simon has spent his career where ordinary days turn into emergencies: industrial accidents, supertankers in the harbour, roadside wrecks, and the quiet rooms where families say goodbye. By day, he’s a physician in New Brunswick and the house doctor on CBC Radio’s Information Morning – Saint John. Every other hour, he writes award-winning science fiction about people who have to lead, decide, and hold things together when everything is going wrong.

Every person is a world, and every world has a story. Michael’s novels place relatable characters in extreme circumstances (stranded crews, dying colonies, impossible choices) to find out what it means to be human when the margin for error disappears. The aliens and starships are invented. The pressure, the people, and the way a steady leader changes a room are not.

Choose a world to begin.
